The Fisher Favorites!

Food:

If you are looking for a place to eat on the island, there are many fantastic options. Here are some of our Favorites:

Cafe Roma - an incredible italian spot, that has served the island for decades. Heaping portions, friendly staff, central location.

Uncle Joes BBQ - Go to the middle of town and follow the smell! Uncle Joes has fantastic BBQ, all cooked right in front of you in their tiny location right across from Cool Breeze Jeep rental!

Longboard - Looking for a fancier dinner, but still wearing your beach clothes? Head over to Longboard for great fusion food, with a wonderful atmosphere!

The Terrace - For a full on fine dining experience on the island, with stellar food, and amazing drinks. Check out the terrace, right by beach bar!

Bars:

Here are some of our favorite watering holes!

Quiet Mon Pub - For a relaxed drink after a long day, nothing is better than a cold drink on the porch of Quiet mon, one could sit up there and people watch downtown for hours!

Woody’s - Right next door, this is where the party either starts or ends. Either way, its always a blast! (Their food is also fantastic!)

Beach Bar - The beach bar is usually the first and last place we visit when coming to town, with a convenient location right by the ferry docks, and a beautiful beachfront spot, if you catch them on the right night there is often live music!

Skinny Legs - If you find yourself on the coral bay side of the island, one of our all time favorite bars is Skinny Legs. Incredible vibes, great drinks, with more live music to boot!

Shambles - A wonderful little bar, with great food, right in the middle of the island, stop by on the way to coral bay, and ask the owner what you should drink, he has some fun (and delicious) drinks!

Windmill Bar - About 2 miles up from Cruz bay lies the absolute best spot to catch the sunset. Also includes food and disc golf!

Beaches:

There are many beaches on St. John, all of which are world class, but which ones should I choose? There is absolutely no bad beach, but here is our take.

Hawks Nest - One of the closest to town, free, beaches on the north side. You’ll often run into donkeys in the parking lot, and facilities right on the beach for bathrooms, changing rooms, and grills! Free parking, free admission, doesnt get easier than that!

Cinnamon Bay - The largest beach on the island, has wonderful snorkeling, free parking, AND a secret beach hidden away, see if you can find “Little Cinnamon Bay!”

Maho Bay - Although one of the further beaches, Maho features a beach bar, rentals, and often times, food. A great place to post up all day, and snorkel. I can’t think of a time where I snorkeled there and didn’t see a turtle and a ray!

Leinster/Waterlemon Bay - If you find yourself on the coral bay side of the island, Leinster Bay has some of the best snorkeling on the island. This rocky beach is quiet with clear water and abundant ocean life! If you are dying to see a spotted eagle ray and sea turtles, this is the spot to catch them.
